Awards dinner for the 2006 fishing season was held at Major's Steak House in East Meadow, NY on March 12, 2007.  Once again we were very pleased to have had many Striper Surf Club Alumni Members present at our Annual Dinner including Charter Member Al Bentsen. Congratulations to the Striper Surf Club Fisherman who received the following 2006 awards:

John Citarella, 2006 New York State Surf Fishing Contest - Gold Pin  for 263 Striped Bass Points, 173 Bluefish Points for a total of 436 Points and a 8th place finish out of 186 anglers in the New York State contest.

Steve Knapik, 2006 New York State Surf Fishing Contest -  Silver Pin  for 176 Striped Bass Points, 65 Bluefish Points and 9 Weakfish points for a total of 250 Points and a 22nd place finish out of 186 anglers in the New York State contest.

Jim Coucoulas, 2006 New York State Surf Fishing Contest -  Silver Pin for 146 Striped Bass Points, 89 Bluefish Points for a total of 239 Points and a 26th place finish out of 186 contestants in the New York State contest

John O'Keefe, 2006 New York State Surf Fishing Contest - Silver Pin for 74 Striped Bass Points, 108 Bluefish Points for a total of 182 Points and a 36th place finish out of 186 contestants in the New York State contest.
