If you are interested in becoming a Striper Surf Club Member, just simply click here and email an SSC Club Officer or Membership Committee Member and let him know of your interest in joining.  We would be happy to have new prospective members join us at one of our monthly meetings!  New prospective members can learn about our committees, i.e., Good & Welfare, Legal, Surf Fishing Contest, Conservation, etc. Come talk with us!  Become a member!   You can call Steve Knapik our membership committee chairman at 516-721-7595 for more information.

Today our formal meetings take place at The Life Church located at 1 Old Westbury Road, Westbury, approximately two times per month during the off season and once a month during the fishing season.  The Striper Surf Club is not a member of this church.  The church was kind enough to let us use their facilities for our monthly meetings. We hold an annual awards dinner each spring and a collation in December. In 2002 the Striper Surf Club coordinated a beach clean up at Green Island, our first public service project.  Again in 2003 we cleaned up the Green Island area and in 2004 - 2011 we cleaned up the West End II Construction Dock site at Jones Beach.

The Striper Surf Club is, by choice a small club.  However, we are always on the lookout for a few new members.  If you are interested in learning more about us, or attending a meeting as a guest, CLICK HERE. We look forward to hearing from you. Club Dues are as follows: New members 1st Year $110.00 which include $75.00 Annual dues + $35.00 Initiation fee. Dues thereafter are $75.00/year.  These monies goes to support several of our club projects, beach clean ups, LIBBA, UMS, Send-a-Kid-Fishing, Holiday Spirit, club achievement awards and dinner meetings.

Then there's fishing!  We hold club fish nights, and conduct an annual fishing contest in which we compete against each other for plaques, pins and certificates, as well as bragging rights!  We also compete as a group, against other clubs, in the New York State Surf fishing Contest sponsored by The Fisherman magazine.
